Focus on Yah During The Middle East Drama

Scripture References: Revelation 9:21; Ezekiel 28:25,26; Isaiah 11:11; Genesis 10:2,22; Daniel 5:28,31; Daniel 6:28

Be careful about taking sides in the Middle East drama. Pray for Yah’s people no matter where they are located. When I was still attending churches, it was like a blindness was covering my spiritual eyes. The churches teach good works and morality (as they should and which I needed) but deeper truths seem to escape those still sitting among the pews.

For instance, the root cause working against good works and morality remains suspiciously hidden; idolatry and idolatrous rituals invite demonic activity that promotes an environment that works against good works and morality. The people who promote the rituals will sit back and act like their hands are clean. This is why Yah said that they will not repent of the thefts, sorceries, immorality, and murders (Revelation 9:21). They believe that the part they’ve played is still hidden.

I also may have been a little blind about the identity of those currently living in Israel and the rest of the Middle East because of what so called reputable sources told me. I even blindly supported conferences on the subject. It was only until I began to obediently come out from among them that I realized some truths that have been in Yah’s Word all along. I’m still learning to compare what I see and hear to Yah’s scripture. I’m sure that I haven’t even scratched the surface.

Have the Descendants of the Ancient Israelites Returned To the Land?

Yah’s people will return to the land under the conditions that He told Ezekiel.

…when I shall have gathered the house of Israel from the people among whom they are scattered, and shall be sanctified in them in the sight of the heathen, then shall they dwell in their land that I have given to my servant Jacob.

And they shall dwell safely therein and shall build houses and plant vineyards; yes, they shall dwell with confidence, when I have executed judgements upon all those that despise them round about them; and they shall know that I am the Master their Eloha.”

Ezekiel 28:25,26

If Yah has gathered the descendants of ancient Israel already, then one has to ask the following questions…

  1. Has Yah been sanctified in the current inhabitants?
  2. Are they dwelling safely in the land?
  3. Are they living confidently there?

This word was not given to Ezekiel just for the tribe of Judah in Babylonian captivity, but it was given for the entire house of Israel that were scattered among many people groups. I do not believe that this final gathering has taken place yet. A clue about the origins of the current inhabitants may be found in their flag’s symbol of the hexagram.

What did Yah Say Happened To Ancient Israel?

Ancient Israel was scattered to the four corners of the earth because they broke the covenant that Yah established with the patriarchs. If we follow the patterns in scripture, we see that the written covenant was given twice at the hands of Moses.

The first time, Moses broke the tablets because the children of Israel immediately violated the covenant. The second set of tablets, which stated the same things as the first set, were placed in the ark of the covenant.

Assyria/Babylon was the first major site of Israelite captivity. Judah was in Babylon for 70 years as it was prophesied by the prophet Jeremiah. Led by leaders like Zerrubabel, Nehemiah, and Ezra the people who represented the righteous remnant returned to the land and renewed covenant with the Most High. Many of the tribes of Israel did not return but remained scattered abroad; others were the remnant of the poor that remained in the land.

The second time the remaining Israelites went into captivity was after the Master Yahushua’s death, burial, and resurrection. After 70 A.D., the remainder of the tribes of Israel were scattered abroad. The curses of the covenant started to catch up with them, and they fled to the four winds. Isaiah 11 tells us that it will not be until the return of the Master Yahushua that the people will be gathered again a second time.

Where Did The Ancient Israelites Go?

We may not know where they initially went, but we do know where Yah will gather them from during day of the Messianic return and rest that is prepared for His people. Those people will be gathered from the following places:

And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Master shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea. Isaiah 11:11

    • Where are they today?-Scattered among their brethren in Modern Iraq
  1. Egypt
    • Geography – north Africa; signifies Northern Egypt
    • Genealogy- Mizraim son of Ham
    • Where are they today? Presumably still in modern day Egypt to some extent mixed with Arabians
  1. Pathros

    • Where are they today? Presumably still in modern day Egypt to some extent mixed with Arabians
  1. Cush
    • Geography- the rest of Africa especially Ethiopia
    • Genealogy- Cush son of Ham

* See Zephaniah 3:10 …”From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia, shall my suppliants the children of my dispersed people bring me an offering.”  This scripture indicates a possible flight of the dispersed children of Yah into West Africa / Ghana/ Slave Coast.

  1. Elam
    • Geography- near ancient Persia
    • Genealogy- Elam son of Shem; some mixture with Madai son of Japheth (Genesis 10:2,22; Daniel 5:28,31; Daniel 6:28)
    • Where are they today? Modern Iran
  1. Shinar

    • Where are they today? Modern Iraq
  1. Hamath
    • Geography- near ancient Syria
    • Genealogy- Aram son of Shem
    • Where are they today? Modern Syria
  1. Islands of the Sea
    • Geography- presumably in and around the Mediterranean Sea; other areas are noted as the isles of the Gentiles but this scripture states islands of the sea.
    • Genealogy- mixed peoples
    • Where are they today? Cyprus and Crete

These are the places that the descendants of the Israelites found themselves. Practically, these areas were where they could blend in with the surrounding people groups. Today, these are the place that are experiencing the most turmoil. Is it a coincidence or is there a concerted effort to root out any traces of the genetic descendants of the scattered tribes of Israel a descendent of Arphaxad son of Shem?
